This Isn't Advice. It's an Invitation.
I don't believe healing happens because someone gives us the right set of instructions.
Sometimes healing begins much more quietly.
With a question. A story. A sentence that makes us stop. A realization that something we have believed for years may no longer belong to us.
Healing Invitations is a collection of stories, books, reflections, and words from one human being still figuring things out herself.
You don't have to agree with everything you find here. You don't even have to take the invitation.
Just notice what makes you pause.

Stories for the Journey
Books about the places life takes us—and who we become along the way.

What Grief Never Asked of You
What Grief Never Asked of You is an invitation to question everything we have been taught about what grief requires of us.
Through reflection, conversation, and curiosity, Jamie separates Grief itself from the fear, expectations, and rules we often place around it—asking a deceptively simple question:
What if Grief never asked us to stop living, loving, or becoming?

The Situationship
The Situationship is the story of a woman who discovers at sixty that a relationship doesn't need a name to change you—and doesn't need an ending anyone agrees upon to break your heart.
What begins as an unexpected connection slowly becomes something much harder to define: intimacy without commitment, closeness without security, and enough possibility to keep hope alive long after the evidence begins telling a different story.
Through Emma's experience, the story explores what happens when we stop asking What did they mean? and begin asking a much more important question:
What did this connection ask me to abandon in myself in order to remain inside it?
The Situationship will not be printed on demand in Canada. If you want a copy please reach out to heal@healinginvitations for alternate delivery method.

Two Weeks in Tuscany
Two Weeks in Tuscany is the story of a woman who travels to Italy expecting two weeks away and discovers something she wasn't looking for—a different way of being with herself.
Through quiet mornings, unexpected friendships, winding roads, and the beauty of an ordinary life lived slowly, Tuscany becomes more than a destination. It becomes a place to remember who she is when no one else is defining her.
You don't leave a place the same way you arrived.

Notice what is present.
Before we can change anything, we first have to be willing to see it.
Sometimes we don't need an answer.Sometimes we need a few words that help us stay with the question.

A Whisper for Your Heart

Let yourself feel what is here.
Feelings don't need to be solved before they are allowed to be felt.

Decide what comes next.
We may not choose what happens to us, but we can choose how we meet what comes next.

Meet Jamie
Writer. Storyteller. Fellow human figuring things out.
I didn't set out to become a writer about healing.
Mostly, I was trying to understand my own life.
I have lived long enough to know that life rarely unfolds the way we expect it to. Love changes us. Loss rearranges us. Grief arrives without instructions. Sometimes we travel thousands of miles only to discover something that was waiting inside us all along.
Writing became the place where I could sit with those experiences—not to find tidy answers, but to ask better questions.
That's what Healing Invitations grew from.
I write stories, reflections, and books about the complicated, beautiful, occasionally ridiculous experience of being human. I don't write from the other side of healing. I write from inside it.
I'm still becoming, too.
A Whisper in Your Inbox
Occasional words about healing, love, grief, becoming, and this strange human life.
No algorithms. No noise. Just something worth pausing for.
